Each match is played between two teams made up of 2 players each and 1 or 2 replacements; the use of a replacement player is allowed at the beginning of the set or for an injury;
Each team is made up of a forward and a back, who will be appointed at the beginnig of the match. At the end of the set the roles have to be reversed; at the same time is not possible to change roles during the set.
The forward may move on the whole field except for the opposite throw-in area (the red one); the defender may not cross the half-way line, unless he spots the ball in his own contact area. In this case, he may move even inside the opposite contact area (to the end of central red area).
A draw will decide who begins. When a goal is scored, the team who has scored the goal does the throw-in. The ball has to be put in the white line of proper throw-in area; at the moment of the throw, all players will have to be in their throw-in area; hence, the kick is valid only if it crosses the halfway line.
Each match consists of the best of 3 sets, with the winner of each set being the first team to score 7 goals.
When a player makes one of the following fouls…: - touches the ball before reaching his contact area; - crosses the half-way line, if defender; - raises a leg over the waist; - stops the ball for more than 1 second; - enters the opposite throw-in area; - goes in from the back or glides, even on the ball, or puts a knee on the ground;
...it's foul from half-way line and the opposite Team is granted a free-throw, always kicked by the forward. The opposite defender may defend his goal staying in front if the throw-in line with the heels on the white line itself. The other players have to stay behind the one who kicks.
Instead, when...: - a player touches the ball with his hand; - a player does a volunteer or dangerous foul;
...it's penalty from the white line that end the central red area, with the same rules followed for the free-throw up-wroted. If a player touches volunteering the ball, the shoots are 3 or just until the goal is scored;
The players will have to control their physical strength; basic Jorkyball rule is the Fair-Play;
In the court, players are not allowed to cry or clap hands in order to call the ball. |
